THE MOST UNFORTUNATES!!

This human life, as we all know, is  a blessed gift from God to us.
I heard it somewhere that we get a human life once in a hundred lifetimes. Though I never believed in this concept of rebirth and stuff. But I do believe that there is some type of criteria or some sort of logic according to which the fate of every soul is decided. And thus it was because of some good quality that you & I were chosen to be humans. Or may be some bad quality.! :D
In short, we are blessed!!.. to be humans! Now that I have proved my point, I shall move forward to the thought that forced me to revive an almost-dead blog!
Observing people deeply, for more than a year now, what I have found out is that something aches my heart for the unfortunate ones on this planet. NO, I am not talking about the differently abled people, nor the poor.. nor the corrupts But for the group of people who are living a completely useless life. Living in a metro city, one can easily find out these type of people :D

Characteristics of these type of people are as follows :-

1. They "try" to look cool. I would like to emphasize the word "try"  because these people can only "try" to look cool but they are never.

2. These people drive rashly with loud music. And they think that they are courageous enough so as they can drive through any lane of any direction (I mean driving through the wrong side). huh? I am sorry if you are one of these. You wont believe what I saw, one day I was walking down the road, a young guy was driving at around 80kmph in the wrong direction and he was about to hit a lady( a very very old one) when suddenly God entered into the feet of that guy & forced his feet to press the brakes. I mean only God could do this. Do you think that guy pressed the brakes? No way! he least cared. That lady was so old that she could not even walk properly. And as he stopped his car with a keeeee... screaming noise all eyes were on him now. He was not more than 25 and with his "full volume" mode on, he started sreaming on the old lady. That lady was trembling with fear as she had just escaped death! And when he started shouting, she started crying. I just imagined how unsafe my nani , dadi & mummy are. And it is an every day story now-a-days.

3. This category of people also include people who drink-smoke on daily basis. & then they put  up a status on FB like "enjoying family outing to a bar".. haha!! I mean mummy papa bhai behen.. everyone together on a drinking spree. And then the ladies of the house say "hum purani thinking nahi rakhte, ab zamana badal gaya hai, drink karna is normal now-a-days" and so is cancer & all those deadly diseases. For a family to enjoy together do you need to drink together!! Then what is the kind of bond that you share. I mean it is so SHIT! These days girls think it is so cool to have a boyfriend who drinks, smokes, have drugs. 'Coolness' of a guy is directly proportional to the product of the max speed with which they can drive, max amount of cigrattes and drinks the guy can take & still survive. Other day I saw a guy & a girl in a car, with all windows closed & guy was smoking heavily with the girl (with her so called love-of-life) sitting next to her. What this proves is neither the guy nor the girl cared about the other! Congratulations if you belong to the same category!

4. People with absolutely no purpose in life. May be they dont have any of the above three characteristics but....They will never care for anybody, live in their own world, earn money, spend it on their family and friends, earn more money, go on holidays, live lavishly, gossip and gossip, eat all rubbish and then sleep. They will buy a new phone & they will celebrate it. I pity these people. This is the case with most of the rich people. In the lieu of living a comfortable lavish life, they dont live at all. A new home then party & then nothing! They die one day & no one knows who they were.

Of all the above, only one thing is common, some people enjoy what humans should not. I mean some people enjoy the things that actually are the sources of misery. These are THE MOST UNFORTUNATE ONES!
We, being born on this planet, have a greater purpose here!

Though the purpose cant be explained in just one blog but the recent Ponty Chadha incident says it all. The one with unimaginable wealth died the most unimaginable death! A guy with 20,000 crores died because he needed some more. This proves he was not CONTENTED with what he had.  Obviously he had those big cars, luxurious things & obviously he would have celebrated every night with a glass. But every morning he woke up miserable. He had every thing. What he didnt? I tell you.. He didnt have a heart which could love his own brother. He didnt have gratefulness for what he was alreadyy given. He didnt have satisfaction with what he had. huh! I pity him!

Guys wake up before you reach a place where your senses are so drenched with materialism that they cannot see anything else. The truth is materialism has never been able to provide humans what they needed. If it had been the case, Ponty chadha & brother would not have fought at the first point. They didnt need money, they needed contentment. But they themselves were not able to realise this & thereforee.......

Did you know why Ravana had 10 heads?

Ravana had exactly 10 heads..!
Ever wondered why 10?? Why not 5 ? or 11? or 100?? Why?

"Ravana performed an intense penance (or tapasya) to Brahma, lasting several years. During his penance, Ravana chopped off his head 10 times as a sacrifice to appease brahma. Each time he sliced his head off a new head arose, thus enabling him to continue his penance. At last, Brahama, pleased with his austerity, appeared after his 10th decapitation and offered him a boon. Ravana asked for immortality, which Brahma refused to give, but gave him the celestial nectar of immortality which we all know was stored under his navel."- Wikepedia

The question still remains unanswered.. Why ten?
Indian mythology is very tricky. On one side you see the story but on the other side there is a deep hidden meaning to that story.

The 10 heads of Ravana signify the 10 forms of love.. yes! love!
1. Loving your designation, your post or qualifications - that is called ego (ahamkara)
2. Loving family & friends - attachment (moha)
3. Loving self- perfection- which leads to regret (paschyataap)
4. Loving/wanting perfection from others- anger (krodha)
5. Loving the past - leads to hatred (ghrina)
6. Loving the future - leads to fear (bhaya)
7. Loving/wanting to be no.1 - this is jealousy (irshya)
8. Loving things- brings greed (lobha)
9. Loving parts of the body of the oppposite gender(or the same)- it is lust (kama)
10. Loving fame, money, your children- brings inertia/ insensitivty (jaddata)

An important thing to notice here is that all the negative feelings also are forms of love. Actually, they are said to be "distorted forms of love". Indeed, every action, every thing, every feeling is a form of love. One must realise that. Though this is not the reason why ravana had 10 heads. Coming back to the issue. Ravana was said to be occupied by these negative feelings which led to his destruction. Ravana was said to have mastered 4 vedas and 6 shastras. (Some say that this is what the 10 heads signify- the 4 vedas & the 6 shastras).  He was a master of 64 types of knowledge. But there was no use of all this learning.Though he was the master of all knowledge, he did not put them into practice. Though he had all the wealth, he could not enjoy anything because of excessive desires. He became a slave to his feelings which finally led to his doom.

Dusshera is celebrated on the tenth day (after 9 days of navaratri). Burning the Ravana with 10 heads on the 10th day symbolizes the destruction of these 10 negative feelings. One needs to win over these 10 distortions of love!
..& that is why dusshera is also known as vijayadashmi, i.e., winning(vijaya) over the 10(dashmi).

HaPpY dUsShErA..!! :)

p.s.- Some day I ll tell you why we chant "om namah shivaya" 108 times. Numbers are important !

May wisdom & knowledge prosper in you ! :)

What is DHARMA..?

Dharma is a law!!
Just like the law of gravity. UNIVERSAL in nature.
What is the law of gravity? Everythin falls under the Earth's force of attraction i.e., towards Earth!!
This law applies to all,  the good, the bad, the newly borns, the senior citizens. To everyone! And its definition remains the same for everyone. I would like to draw your attnetion to this special class of people, those who dont know this law. Even they are not exempted! There are no discounts for scientists who are doing research work related to the law of gravity. There is no biasedness!

Coming back to "dharma"..
Dharma says- You should treat everyone the way you want yourself to be treated by others.
So, as I was saying this law is universal in nature i.e., it applies to everyone and there are no discounts. The priests are not exempted from it. Again, the special class of people who dont know this law, are not exempted. There may be some who say that we dont believe in dharma. Its okay not to believe it, its totally upto you what to beleive and what not. But remember it will apply to you too. I am sorry to say but there are no exceptions at all! It applies even to an atheist, to damn everyone!

Now, before you cheat anyone or lie to anyone or abuse anyone, keep it in your mind that the same will happen to you too.
Similarly, when you help someone or love someone or praise someone, then.................

A point to note : The law of dharma is the foundation of every religion, Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christianity, Judaism, every religion!

Beware! :P

India then & India now

India 'was' a country rich in those precious stones which made Her known as the GOLDEN BIRD. India had a glorious past, we all know, with who every other country wanted to trade with! For this very reason was an ocean, out of total seven, named after a country. No other country in the world has a ocean named after it :D That was a time everyone was after us. But as our ancestors were very innocent, they fell easy prey to the foreign powers. BUT..!.. When no one could imagine or when everyone thought that India will always remain under the colonial powers, the time when we were completely powerless & armless!!.. SOMETHING HAPPENED..(kuch to chamka).. the brave hands (or the freedom fighters as we know them) realised their power & snatched away their freedom back!
AAANNDDD..D.... Somehow we won a totally lost game :)
For a country like India it was not a tough play.. because the values grounded in the people & the kind of intellect they had was unmatched.

During the course of time, we have ended up in totally differen scene in India. The country, once famous as the "golden bird" is now upset with Danny Boyle for showcasing the real but bad picture of India in his oscar winning movie. Corruption, misuse of power, no-use of power(:D)... all had made India what it is right now! And please, the people in power are not the ones only to be blamed.. Each one of us is helping to make India worse. Me too!
Just watch our daily actions.. most of ours' dad are not paying the tax and we know that!
99.99% of Indian population doesnt mind throwing waste around. Though while reading this you might think you are in the .01% but you are not!!
Most of us have this attitude "India mein sab chalta h!" & only this attitude had made many illegal things to come under "our definition" of legal things.. Let me give you a classic example of this one.. How many of you got your driving licence fairly? without bribing? Or even tried once getting it the legal way?
Most of us have seen our parents driving the wrong side, jumping the red lights when they are late.. and now doing this, doesnt seem wrong to us. Even while reading this you must be thinking that how in the world is jumping the lights related to the corruption & poverty in India! What is related is the ATTITUDE we keep! And that has made the whole difference..

Love & peace!

u dnt eat onion & garlic during navratras..?? oh c'mon..

oh.. u dnt eat onion & garlic during navratras.. y dude?
Let me tell you!!

First I'll tell you the simplest reason.. that ll go inside ur brain easily.. n logic-hungry ppl ll b able 2 digest dis 1..!!
All d indian festivals n rites n rituals r made acc 2 d season.. for eg. holi marks the end of winters..
Even the food n sweets u eat during d festivals is acc 2 d season!! like u eat rewri n gajak during lohri.. All d ppl in d "festival making team of india" were very very intelligent..!!
If u notice carefully, navratras cum twice a year.. exactly when d season changes.. winters 2 summers or summers 2 winters..
The season-changing tymsof d year r d only tyms whn our immune system goes weak!! A point 2 remmbr here is that the human body finds it really difficult  2 change according to the change in season.. so dis s d tym whn v need 2 increase d positive energy in our body!
so.. it is required not 2 eat onion & garlic during navratras..
hEnCe PrOvEd..!! :D

NOW.. tym 4 a lil experiment.. for the ppl who meditate daily.. (dis s nt specifically in relation 2 navratras.. bt in general 4 d whole year..
The crowd that is meditating on a regular basis and still dsnt noe d difference btwn eating n not eating onion, heres a small game.. for a week continue wid ur normal diet n meditate as normal 20mins a day.. thn nxt week.. have a sattvik diet or jst tk care nt 2 tk onion garlic in ur food.. n meditate as earlier.. YoU WiLl AcTuAlLy MeDiTaTe!!
It ll b a totally different type of xperience.. u ll urslf realise wat d words "calm" "compose" "peaceful" "dispassion" mean!!
The buddhists avoid onion garlic 4 d same reason.. it disturbs meditation..
This is sumthin that made me realise d difference :)

According to India's Classic Medical science, foods are grouped into three categories - sattvic, rajasic and tamasic - foods in the modes of goodness, passion and ignorance. Onions and garlic, are classified as rajasic and tamasic, which means that they increase passion and ignorance.
Moreover, garlic is an aphrodisiac.
Any of you who are organic gardeners know that if you don't want to use DDT, garlic will kill anything in the way of insects:D

eXpErImEnT nO. 2- You can rub a clove of garlic on your foot - on the sole of your foot - and you can smell it shortly later on your wrists. So it penetrates the body.

In the Bhagwad Gita Lord Krishna advises:-
"Foods that are too bitter, too sour, salty, hot, pungent, dry n burning r dear 2 dose in d mode of passion. such foods cause distress, misery n disease."
and this is so true!!
Even the Chinese mythological scriptures write the same :O

for ppl wanting 2 read more.. visit d link.. u ll cum 2 know all d biological science behind hw garlic is poisonus to brain cells & how much it affects our central nervous system.. if sum1 of u is a doc, he/she ll bettr undrstand it.. I found it a bit difficult reading abt d ions- penetrate thing..
http://rajaniyer.blogspot.in/2008/01/devotees-dont-eat-garlic-and-onions.html

p.s. This totally my opinion.. I do not want 2 trigger a debate.. :P
I noe all our lives v hv heard abt d benefits of garlic n onion.. but...........
I, personally, take garlic and onion in a vry reduced amount..

Health & happiness :)
